Graduation

What an amazing couple of weeks we have had! Sterling reached another milestone in his career by graduating from medical school. We were blessed to have Frank, Jeanne, Donovan, Michelle, Mark and Shelley all fly in for the celebration. Sterling didn't know that his dad or brother and sister in law were coming so it was a fabulous surprise. Mom and dad were supposed to come in on Wednesday but because of thunderstorms and tornadoes across the midwest they didn't get in until Thursday. Thursday we went to dinner at Rincon. Friday we all headed to Mammoth Caves and went on the New entrance tour. Reagan was really good. At one point during the tour they turn out the lights and let you see how dark it is in the cave. Reagan was quiet at first and after a minute she let out a big yell and everyone laughed! Friday night we went to Saharas for dinner.
Saturday was event filled. There was a graduation brunch in the morning where they gave a bunch of awards and Sterling was recognized for maintaining a good GPA. Reagan was noisy most of the time during the brunch so I was in the hallway with her! She had a breakdown at the end and I had to bring her home. Luckily Alexa was able to come babysit while we attended the graduation ceremony. Sterling looked very handsome in his cap and gown. I am so proud of him!!!
Saturday night we celebrated graduation with a BBQ at our house. We had residents, friends and family. Everyone was so kind to help prepare food and get things ready. We had pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches, fruit, salad, chips, ice cream, and soda. The weather held out until exactly 8:00 when it started to rain! Everyone quickly gather all the tables and chairs and helped clean up.
