We have been hanging out and going to the pool. You enjoy playing in the pool but you are not as brave as you were last year. I told you some parts of the pool were too deep for you so now you say "to deet"! We bought you some little jelly shoe sandals that have a flower on them and you love to wear them. I told you the other day that you had 5 minutes to play until bed time and you pointed your finger at me and said 10 minutes....it made me laugh!!! We picked up Grandma from the airport and you were so excited she was here. You kept saying "grandma" over and over again in the car.
Some of the celebrations for the 4th of July were actually on Saturday the 2nd. We had a ward breakfast that you and I went too and then the Georgetown Parade was after that. We sat by a bunch of people from our ward. You loved it when a marching band came by-you clapped your hands really wide, and you loved the horses. They threw lots of candy but the parade was really short. It only lasted 15 minutes!
That night we went to Scott County Park to hang out with some ward friends and watch the fireworks. You were trying to catch the lightning bugs with your hands. You didn't like the fireworks at all. You were shaking and sweating and holding on for dear life. You did try to look at them a little bit while I was covering your ears.
For the actual 4th we had some waffles for breakfast in the morning. Dad got home in the afternoon and we met him at home depot. You wore your sunglasses inside and carried around a little American flag in the store! We grabbed some lunch at Chick Fila. We went to the pool in the early evening and swam until they closed. We went to Smash burger for dinner and you wanted to chase the birds and try to feed them. We tried to do some of our own fireworks, but you didn't like those either. You did like doing the little snappers. Sandi sent you fourth of July necklaces, crown, ball, and a pom pom shaker.
